20. New York City AEDT Notice & Addendum

This section applies to any hiring process covered by New York City Local Law 144 (“Automated Employment Decision Tools”).

Use of an Automated Employment Decision Tool.
The interview platform you are about to use includes an automated tool that evaluates job-related qualifications and criteria supplied by the hiring organization. The tool’s outputs—scores, rankings, or similar measures—are provided to assist human reviewers; no candidate is rejected automatically.

Independent bias audit.
Before using this tool for New York City hiring, the employer or employment agency is required to obtain an independent bias audit and to make a public summary of that audit available. Vesper does not conduct or publish the audit. To view the audit summary or request further detail, please contact the employer directly at the address or portal listed in the job posting.

Notice period.
The employer must make this notice and the audit summary available at least ten (10) business days before the tool is used to screen applicants for a New York City role.

Alternative process & accommodations.
If you are a New York City resident and would like an accommodation or an alternative selection process that does not involve the automated tool, please contact the employer using the information provided in the job posting. Vesper can relay the request but is not responsible for providing the alternative process.

Human review required.
A human hiring decision-maker will review the tool’s results along with other information before any employment decision is made.

Questions.
All questions about this New York City addendum, the bias audit, or accommodations should be directed to the employer or employment agency responsible for the position. Vesper provides the technology platform only and is not the decision-maker for any role.

20. Acceptance

By selecting “I Agree” or starting the interview you confirm you have read and accepted this Notice & Consent, the Privacy Policy and related Trust Center documents, and you give the consents outlined above.
